| From: Mohd Niyaz, Sibitalent [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Infotainment Engineer (Validation) Work Location: Portland, Oregon(Onsite Only) JOB DESCRIPTION Support System Owner Infotainment and Feature Owner Truck App Portal Write functional and HMI specifications as well as feature specifications Verification & validation of the system Infotainment and feature Truck App Portal incl. documentation Analysing issues Work closely with global Daimler Truck business units Support Daimler production facilities as well as test instances like vehicle testing Handle project responsibilities, stakeholders communication, planning SW milestones, and delivering on time Managing of work packages, schedules, coordination with suppliers, and collaboration with a global team CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: How many years of experience are you looking for Do you need someone with a particular degree or certification As you start to go through resumes, what would stand out to you as the BEST candidate versus an AVERAGE candidate What are some of the performance indicators youll be looking for once this person ramps up (Meeting deadlines, quality of work, etc. 1-3 years of experience in system integration engineering / embedded system engineering Minimum of BA degree in Electrical engineering/computer science Infotainment experience Working on experience working with app store/knowledge of the app store Jira, Jinkins, GIT Understanding overall systems Quadrating interfaces and teams Participating in testing and integrating the Ability to define the system starting from scratch Meeting deadlines and evaluating where the development is at TYPICAL DAY IN THE ROLE: So that suppliers can paint a good picture to candidates, can you walk me through what a typical day might look like This can be broken down into percentages, example could be 10% meetings, 50% heads down work, 40% collaborative team work Can you describe their level of interaction with you and others on the team Once this assignment gets underway, do you think theres any chance for extension later on or converting to FTE A lot of communication and research in the beginning Infotainment/ researching what is out there and studying portfolios with other companies Specification coordinating and gathering info Specification writing- working with the team to determine each step and where the project is at Working with projects and other departments Examining testing sites- writing, managing and running test cases System level testing handoff Tracking software issues and aligning with teams that may be impacted Retesting Bi-weekly one-on-ones with HM discuss performance Recurring team meetings to discuss progress Possibility depending on the contractor and how the project expands Compelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition: With the market being extremely competitive, we want to make sure we highlight the value of this role to help attract candidates.
