Leveraging their deep understanding of AWS's suite of services, the AWS Engineer ensures that the company's cloud-based resources are secure, efficient, and meet the organization's needs. Key Responsibilities: Set up, manage, and scale applications on AWS while ensuring high availability and fault tolerance. Monitor, analyze, and manage costs to optimize the usage of AWS resources. Design and build infrastructure on AWS, utilizing its service-oriented architecture. Develop scripts for automating client/server functions and streamline operational processes in AWS. Write CloudFormation templates to automate infrastructure deployment. Implement and manage security and compliance protocols for AWS environments. Ensure the cloud infrastructure aligns with the company's security standards. Perform security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions. Design and implement compliance controls using AWS Config to ensure continuous compliance with industry standards and regulations. Create and maintain Python scripts for custom Config rules and security tasks automation. Provide technical support in all AWS environments. Resolve any issues related to deployed AWS applications. Work closely with development and operations teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines. Support the deployment of microservices and serverless applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security and compliance requirements are met. Technical Skills and Experience: In-depth understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM policies, data security, and network security on AWS. Proficiency in designing and implementing compliance controls using AWS Config. Experience performing security assessments and audits, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing corrective actions. Skilled in writing and maintaining Python scripts for automation of security tasks. Expertise in creating CloudFormation templates to automate infrastructure deployment. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and supporting the deployment of microservices and serverless applications. Strong knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure management.
