| Job Title: SAP BI/BW Developer/HANA Developer Location: 100% onsite in San Antonio, Texas ; Local needed Hours: Monday-Thursday 8-5:30pm CT/ Friday 8-3pm CT Duration: 5 Months Required Skills: SAP data modeling, sap bw development, sap hana development, sap bw on hana Job Summary: Describe overall job purpose (reason it exists). As a Business Intelligence developer, the candidate will be required to design and develop information models, perform data analysis, and create qualitative reporting solutions to enable the business to make critical business decisions. Candidate will also assist in the technical design, development and implementation of BI reporting solutions. Candidate will leverage Microsoft Power BI, SAP HANA, SAP BW on HANA, SAP HANA CDS views and Business Objects to deliver reporting solutions. Primary objective is to go through functional specifications, complete fit gap analysis, create technical specifications, design and develop reporting solution, complete unit and integration testing, coordinate functional, user acceptance testing, and production deployment. Job Duties Works on the design and implementation of projects that involve business intelligence solutions as a lead or individual contributor. Works on moderately complex tasks for the deployment of new solutions and enhancements/fixes to existing solutions. These include, but is not limited to: troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, user interaction, training, defining systems scope, gathering requirements, documenting design & technical specifications, research and fact-finding, configuration, testing, reporting, cutover, IS and business user coordination. Effective work relationships within departmental and functional lines at various job levels with business users, IS departments, user groups and Valero business partners. Learns or demonstrates a broad, in-depth understanding of more than one business intelligence product/tool and associated integration. Helps coordinate the adoption of new business procedures resulting from system/application changes, including the development of system specifications, documentation, training, and communication plans. Performs analysis on and recommends complex quality solutions. Understands and applies the various IT methodologies which include project management, development, service management and system architecture. Understanding of the fundamentals of Enterprise Data Warehouse data loads and design. Develop endtoend reporting solutions for Commercial Operations. Ability to provide solutions in a timely manner. Understanding of data warehouse and OLAP cube design. High degree of initiative, creativity and problem-solving ability. Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods. Ability to accomplish assignments, and work with others, within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes. Demonstrates a positive service attitude, exercise good judgment, maintain relationships internally and externally with customers/vendors, display excellent problem-solving skills, and possess a willingness and desire to learn and ask questions in order to deliver good quality reports. Translation of functional requirements into technical designs Present design and development plans to project leadership Development of SAP BW on HANA objects, SAP HANA calculation views, SAP HANA CDS Views Development of SAP Business Objects, SAP Analysis for Office, and Microsoft Power BI reports Unit and integration testing of reporting solutions developed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Deep knowledge of SAP BW, and is proficient in the SAP Business Objects tool set. Ability to write efficient ABAP code to enhance the SAP BW functionality. Knowledge in SAP HANA modeling required. Proficient in SAP BusinessObjects Universe design and data modeling.
