Location: Austin, TX Job Title: Engineer - Data Center BIM Automation Responsibilities: Reports to Data Center BIM Program Manager to establish in-house applications, utilities, and scripts to support design and delivery of Global Data Center portfolio. Develop detailed proof of concept automations and applications for quality control on BIM models and drawings. Utilize automation methods including Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python, C#, or JavaScript. Develop Dynamo and Python scripts for internal and external stakeholders to perform QC on BIM models and drawings based on owners SOW, OPR, and BIM Standards. Automate tasks related to designing CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural), MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection), and various low voltage/controls disciplines. Collaborate with internal engineers, RE&D PMs, and external teams to complete Data Center delivery via automation support. Create engineering and construction-specific software programming, including databases, cloud-based solutions, laser scanning, generative design, and reality capture equipment. Assist in identifying new software technologies and alternative systems to enhance data center design capabilities.
