Expertise with HANA Migration to AWS Primarily responsible for the SAP migrations e.g. GRC, BW etc POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with a strong background in migrating SAP applications, including high availability and disaster recovery (DR) setups, as well as both HANA and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) databases to AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP infrastructure design, configuration, and management, along with proficiency in AWS cloud services ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Lead the migration of SAP applications e.g. GRC, including high availability and disaster recovery setups, to AWS cloud infrastructure. 2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust migration strategies, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. 3. Configure and optimize AWS resources for SAP workloads, focusing on scalability, performance, and security best practices. 4. Install, configure, and manage SAP systems, including HANA and MSSQL databases, on AWS, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to industry standards. 5. Set up and configure high availability solutions for SAP systems, leveraging technologies such as Application Migration Service (MGN) and MSSQL Database Availability Groups (DAG). 6. Monitor SAP systems and AWS infrastructure for performance, availability, and security, proactively addressing any issues that arise. 7. Document migration processes, configurations, and best practices, facilitating knowledge transfer and continuous improvement. 8. Work independently to execute migration tasks and troubleshoot technical issues, escalating major issues to management as needed. 9. Clearly communicate progress as relevant to both the technical teams and PMO 10. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends related to SAP, AWS, and cloud migration strategies. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. 8+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP Basis Consultant, with a focus on migrating SAP applications to AWS. 2. Proficiency in SAP HANA and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) databases, including installation, configuration, and administration. 3. Strong understanding of AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and CloudFormation. 4. Experience with SAP high availability and disaster recovery setups, including MGN and MSSQL DAG configuration. 5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a keen attention to detail. 6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 7. AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer is a plus.
