Position: Mortgage Service Operations Consultant Location: 100% Remote NY, NY Length: 12 months Start: ASAP Interview: Video Job Description: Provide Consumer Mortgage Servicing Operations support across a variety of functions including: Operations: Day to day servicing operations (Claims, Call Center, Loss Mitigation, Controls) and ensure compliance with federal, state and agency requirements and guidelines Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure that loan servicing tasks, such as payment processing, loss mitigation, and foreclosure operations, are conducted efficiently and accurately Reporting: Prepare regular reports outlining the performance of the mortgage servicing portfolio Policy Making: Collaborate with the risk management team to develop and enforce Program Management: Provide program/project management support to ensure tasks and activities are managed and completed. Job Skills: Knowledge of Mortgage Servicing: Deep understanding of mortgage loan servicing procedures, regulations, and best practices. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex loan data, identify trends, and make decisions based on findings. Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with federal and state mortgage regulations and guidelines. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including borrowers, service providers, and internal teams. Technology Skills: Proficiency in mortgage servicing software and data analytics tools. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve complex mortgage servicing issues quickly and efficiently. Customer Service: Exceptional skills in resolving customer complaints and queries. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in reviewing loan documents and contracts, as well as in preparing reports.
