| Microsoft Data Scientist Data Scientist who has heavy python and Azure ML expertise Only local to Seattle, WA Details: Fully Remote (PST) 18 Month Contract Typical Day in the Role Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is : CST Engineering. Provides internet security measures. A proactive approach to cyber threats to MSFT. Org Name: CST engineering- Internet safety manages engineering resourcing and projects for a few business units within security and trust . We operate in CELA as engineers and lawyers. The idea is that we have multiple business units that sit on either end of the house. We have the digital crimes unit that works on security measures, so the reactive side. The national security team handles security policy like writing open-source intelligence reports for campaigns that affect global events. All business units need engineering resources to build systems to build their business- together they all keep the internet safe from their point of view. Key projects: AI is the name of the game and we are building a new copilot assisted app- this is part of the budget for that. Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 10% meetings, 80% heads down coding and troubleshooting work, 10% Design and security checkpoints Compelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition What makes this role interesting This role will work with research teams and taking prototypes to production with world class engineers and bringing value to Microsoft to further trust customer in products Unique Selling Points: Primarily working on new AI copilot enabled application that hasn't been seen before Job Responsibilities: Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes Analyze and refactor AI Orchestration Python libraries (whl files) to run more efficiently and remove unneeded dependencies. Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
