Job Title : Cloud Engineer Location : Hybrid(Hampton, VA) Local Duration : 12+ Months (With possibility of extensions) VISA : USC GC GCEAD H4EAD Client : Hampton Roads Transit Authority Key Responsibilities: Conduct feasibility analysis and ROI calculations for cloud migration. Design and implement high availability solutions for cloud-based workloads using native cloud features and third-party solutions as necessary. Develop and deploy configuration baselines based on best practices and cybersecurity recommendations. Provide cloud solution deployment services, including instantiation, configuration, testing, and commissioning. Collaborate with cloud service providers to troubleshoot issues and deliver Root Cause Analysis reports. Implement and manage enterprise-grade cloud technology management solutions. Develop provisioning guidelines, pre-deployment checklists, and other lifecycle documentation for cloud systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 3 years in the transit sector. Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Experience with cloud migration, high availability design, and cloud security. Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar.
