Initial Architecture deliverables (listed under Phase I) for this role are planned for about 200 hours project.

But this will get extended far beyond in Phase II listed in the JD towards deployment.

Job Description

1.1.        Scope and Approach  (Phase I)

Architect will perform the following Services:

       Gather and document Clients business and technical requirements/objectives

       Gather existing network diagrams and other documentation describing the current technical environment

       Review current network architecture and design

o        Data center topology

o        Generic site topology (Direct ME connection)

o        Generic site topology (Piggyback connection)

       Review device configuration standards (e.g., SNMP, security, naming, IOS)

o        Device templates per switch model

o        Client provided naming convention document

o        Client provided host name with firmware document

       Review and adhere to Clients change control process (e.g., change window scheduling, planning for number of changes per change window)

Phase II

Configuration and Enablement

General Configuration

DNA Center Code Version

       Upgrade DNA center to latest recommended version or TAC recommended version

       NetFlow

       Configure NetFlow for core switches and configure syslog logging for core switches and all applicable edge switches for a sample school

       Data Backup and Restore

       Configure automatic configuration data backup and demonstration of configuration restore with existing FTP server

       Device Polling

       Configure polling to be optimized

       Walkthrough of migration of 1 schools access points (APs) and switches to DNAC (School to be chosen by SDOC up project start)

o        Assist with configuring floor plans for the 1 chosen school example site

o        Assist with exploring DNACs printing capabilities

o        Push of configuration to newly deployed access points using .csv file generated from Client-provided Ekahau survey planning tool

o        Push of configuration to newly deployed switches using .csv templates

o        Onboard devices

o        Create and run jobs to modify configurations of APs

o        Enable NetFlow on core switch

o        Enable syslog on all sample school switches

o        Enable configuration backup/review on all sample school switches

o        Create/modify floor plans for sample school

o        Lookup clients and users to verify configuration

o        Verify devices status

o        Insight will demonstrate how to:

       Push configuration changes to existing APs

       Use the topology features

       Monitor devices, clients, and users

       Troubleshoot APs that are being overwhelmed

       Setup building floor plans for deployments

       Use DNA-A licenses with the access points to gather additional information on clients, users, utilization

       Upgrade code by pushing to multiple devices

       Use any additional items to demonstrate as requested by the SDOC Project Manager and the Insight Project Manager, assuming adequate project time                 and budget to complete

       General Enablement

       Enable and provide knowledge transfer for customers DNAC deployment and technical team, time permitting within project budget, for features such as:

o        Discovery

o        Visibility

o        Automation

o        Hierarchy/topology

o        Zero-touch provisioning

o        Software image management

o        Wireless

o        Programmability

o        Assurance

o        Fault Monitoring/alerting

o        Performance monitoring

o        Troubleshooting

The features listed for general enablement will be planned in conjunction with the Client and Insight to ensure that desired focus areas are prioritized and adequate project budget is available.

Troubleshooting

       Provide solution, if possible, with feature configuration, code updates and/or TAC cases etc., to the following issues:

o        Alerting delays

       Assist with resolving delays in alerting on DNAC with regards to devices showing offline when they are, in fact, online

o        Site groups

       Site group number and size problem with over 100 APs at a single site

       Currently, there is 1 site group for each school and facility regardless of the number of APs at each site

o        Software image management

       Resolve update issues and push code updates districtwide to wireless controllers (if still required)

       Operate

       Provide assistance as needed with adding of remainder of schools and facilities wired and wireless resources to DNAC during the project term assuming                 sufficient project budget to complete

o        A Change Request (CR) may be required if work effort exceeds project budget remaining

       1.1.1.        Out of Scope

1.        The following are considered out-of-scope and are not part of the Services:

a.        Electrical or cabling services

b.        Formal user training

c.        Racking and cabling

d.        Cisco Prime system migration

2.        Services and Deliverable items not expressly described in the Scope and Approach section are considered to be out of scope. Any out-of-scope items must                 be pre-authorized and verified by Insight in writing through the Change Request Form process
