From: jai, spear staffing [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Hardware engineer/ Electrical Engineering Position Optimal design Must interview onsite, hybrid Arlington heights, IL Electrical Engineering Position Job Description: The contractor will work as part of the Embedded Electrical Engineering team responsible for developing, integrating, and testing hardware solutions in consultation with customers from the consumer and industrial electronics market. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable, self-motivated, thrive in a rapid entrepreneurial development environment, and possess strong analytical skills with an engineering imagination. The candidate must have a positive attitude and work well independently and as a member of a team. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Development of novel, optimized electrical designs to meet client specifications Part creation, Schematic design, PCB layout, and fabrication documentation creation in electrical CAD tools Researching and developing new electronics technologies Hands-on assembly and debugging of functional prototypes Creation of test plans, testing, and production level tasks Production of relevant design documentation Interfacing directly with customers as well as other internal departments Essential Requirements: BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience Strong understanding of electrical and electronics fundamentals including: electromagnetics, passive and active components, and integrated circuits. Demonstrable capabilities in one or more key areas of electronics design: Analog Hardware, Digital Hardware, Microprocessor Architecture, Power Systems, Li-Ion Charging, Sensor and Control Circuits, Audio Electronics, or Optoelectronics. Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and flex circuit designs (Altium knowledge preferred) Experience with EMC/EMI, ESD, shielding, safety, and certification testing Experience with low power and battery powered embedded devices Experience working during proof of concept phase, prototyping, board bring up, and production environments Experience with electrical simulation software such as LTspice, etc. Excellent communication skills, self-managing initiative, and detail oriented workmanship.
