Position : Mainframe/iSeries Batch Scheduling Admin Location : Hybrid requiring 50% onsite in Evansville, IN Duration: : 6-12 months Visa : NOH1B/CPT Interview mode:: video Job Description: Responsibilities: Lead data center projects and analysis. Monitor and resubmit file transmissions (FTP's). Monitor all zOS server and iSeries prod activities on shifts. Monitor system consoles and environmental equipment and make schedule adjustments to maintain performance. Print checks and reports, sort, and distribute. Perform training and documentation. Record and perform accurate shift turnovers. Monitor daily production schedule. Engage support when critical issues occur. Create Incident tickets when critical batch processes fail. Interact with programmers and Production Services. Ensure security, regulatory (SOX) and corporate standards and policies are enforced. Ensure all batch SLA are closely monitored for completion. Monitor critical systems across the Enterprise for issues. Participate in bridge calls when needed. Participate in annual D/R test. Ensure all documentation and procedures are kept up to date. Requirements: iSeries and Mainframe job scheduling skills. College degree in Computer Science preferred. 2+ years of hands-on Computer Operations work in a data center. Ability to manage and lead multiple priorities. Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a team and independently.
