Job Title: Data Analyst Location: St. Louis, MO - hybrid Duration: Long term contract Visa-USC,GC,GCEAD (NO H1B) Snowflake and PowerBI skills are important according to the Manager. CLIENT is seeking a Senior Data Analyst that will be part of a growing team that supports and protects the Core Values of our Client. You will work closely with the Manager of Architecture and Engineering, Data Architects, Data Engineers, and BI Analysts to protect information assets of the company, including intellectual property, personally identifiable information, and protected health information, against unauthorized and/or disclosure by appropriately handling and transmitting information in accordance with our Clients' policies. Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Senior Data Analyst will include the analysis of database development efforts across all teams based upon the needs of the end users. You may also be assigned various projects like, being the liaison between the business and technical teams by planning, conducting, directing, and documenting the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with reports, dashboards, including the warehouse. The ideal candidate is someone with advanced working knowledge of database architecture and Microsoft SQL Server. Some of the essential skills required of you in this role are, excellent computer skills, analytical/problem solving skills and communication skills with experience in furthering requirements from end users and translating to functional specifications. Prior experience with Power BI or any other Self Service BI tool, Cloud data platform (Snowflake, Azure SQL, Redshift) is preferred. EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree in related field REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 6 years of working experience in I.S. related field Excellent computer skills, analytical/problem solving skills and communication skills Advanced working knowledge of database architecture, Microsoft SQL Server, and Cloud Data Platform Snowflake Experience furthering requirements from end users and translating to functional specification PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with adhering to data governance standards and practices desired. Experience with Power BI or any other Self Service BI tool desired. Comfort with coaching and mentoring less experienced team members desired. Experience in the Insurance industry is a plus.
