Must be able to work independently to function as a liaison between the business community and the technical community in support of development of code for the application. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into specific system requirements and providing technical knowledge, leadership, and support. Design application components based on requirement specifications. Support analysis/design/development/testing/implementation of Blue Yonder WMS Support offshore support team with escalated or critical incident resolution. Participate in requirements discussions with business and suggest optimal and efficient technology solutions. Develop application components as per design specifications. Apply industry defined programming standards for development. Develop high quality components using test driven development. Document and execute any testing needed to ensure defect free deliverables. Perform code reviews and guide other developers on best practices. Version control and release management processes. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Provide L2/L3 support for his/her application. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or equivalent experience Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills Strong understanding of design principles. Excellent time management and prioritization skills to achieve results on time. #2 Position Title: Mainframe CICS Engineer Job location (City, State) US - Alpharetta, GA (Onsite) Duration for this position: 12 months This is a CICS Systems Engineer not a Developer role Mainframe CICS Engineer The Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer is responsible for all phases of CICS engineering, system and software maintenance, and CICS related operation functions. The candidate must be comfortable working with CICS in a 24x7 large scale Sysplex and CICSPlex environment and must be able to interface with application developers and operations teams. The CICS engineer should have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, as well as in-depth knowledge in CICS performance & tuning, debugging and dump analysis. On-call support and maintenance outside of normal working hours are needed to support the CICS environment and to resolve issues. Skills Required: Knowledge of SMP/E, software upgrades and maintenance Knowledge of all CICS parameters that control performance in a CICSPlex environment. Knowledge of CICS SMF record structure and the CICS Performance Analyzer tool to gather statistics necessary to tune CICS regions Experience with CICSPlex SM implementation & customization, dynamic transaction routing, etc. Knowledge of the CICS resource definitions, including those that pertain to CICS region performance Experienced with the CICS monitoring tools such as Sysview for CICS. Ability to perform problem determination, dump analysis and performance tuning Knowledge of Cobol to support application developers Experience with Mainframe Websphere MQ Good oral/written communication skills Skills desired: Assembler, COBOL and REXX coding and knowledge of CICS Exits Web application support in a CICS TS V5.x and/or V6.x environment Understanding of zOS facilities such as: APF, Linklist, VSAM, LPA, RLS, Coupling Facility Utilization of CICS Configuration Manager Working knowledge of zOS & CICS Explorer Understanding of CICS REST Services Prior Application programming experience a plus.
