Job Description: ROLE: AWS Solution Architect with Java and ETL LOCATION: Chicago IL (Remote) TYPE: Long term contract Key Responsibilities: AWS Cloud Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in designing and implementing solutions on AWS, utilizing a wide range of services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, and EMR. PySpark Development: Extensive experience in leveraging PySpark for data processing and analysis, utilizing its powerful capabilities for distributed computing. AWS Glue: Strong expertise in using AWS Glue for ETL operations, including data cataloging, schema evolution, and building serverless ETL pipelines. Data Architecture: Proven ability to design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness. Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and other related tools to address complex data processing challenges. Qualifications: Proven experience as an AWS Solution Architect, with a focus on data integration and transformation. Extensive expertise in IBM InfoSphere DataStage. Strong understanding of AWS services, including but not limited to Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and AWS Lambda. Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. Strong expertise in PySpark. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
