Job Summary: As a Senior DevOps Engineer / GitHub Administrator, you will play a critical role in our migration from a self-hosted GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) to GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC). You will leverage your extensive experience in migrating large enterprises from various source code management systems to design, implement, and maintain scalable GitHub services that meet the evolving needs of our global DevOps organization. Responsibilities: Lead the migration from GHES to GHEC, ensuring a smooth and seamless transition for our large-scale enterprise environment. Architect and implement reliable, scalable, and innovative solutions using GitHub Actions, workflows, and the GitHub API for seamless integration with various systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and project managers to develop and maintain GitHub services that enhance productivity and streamline development processes. Design and implement automation and orchestration strategies to optimize GitHub workflows and processes. Manage and maintain GitHub infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to GitHub and its integrations. Stay up-to-date with the latest GitHub features and best practices to continuously improve our DevOps ecosystem. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or GitHub Administrator, with a proven track record of success in large enterprise environments. Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, workflows, and the GitHub API for custom development and integrations. Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including GCP, Azure, and Entra ID (IdP). Proficiency in scripting and custom development with Python, JavaScript, or other languages and frameworks. Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, such as Terraform or Ansible. Solid systems administration experience with Linux-based servers. Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools like Splunk, Nagios, or similar solutions. Desirable Skills: Experience with configuration management systems like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with network security and protocols.
