Configure and manage virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM for efficient resource utilization. Implement and maintain automation scripts using tools like Ansible or Puppet to streamline system administration tasks. Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions that meet business requirements. Lead efforts to upgrade, patch, and secure Linux servers and applications in compliance with industry standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional development. Solid private or hybrid cloud infrastructure background and operational, fixing and problem-solving experience OpenStack deployment and operations experience Experience with software-defined storage with Ceph or other cloud-based storage. Hands-on experience in build, implementation and configuration of Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects & Fabric Extenders, UCS B-Series & X-Series Blade Servers and UCS Manager. Good experience in configuring UCS Service Profiles, vLANs, vSANs, vNIC & vHBA Templates and handling UCS Firmware upgrades. Strong understanding of Cisco UCS Central and Cisco Intersight. Good experience in build and configuration of VMware ESXi hosts & vCenters (vSphere 7/8) and handling ESXi & vCenter patching/version upgrades. Experience in working with VM Migrations (vMotions/Storage vMotions) and Decommissioning of ESXi Hosts & vCenters. Strong understanding of VMware vSphere Networking.
