The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of networking protocols, wireless technologies, and be capable of solving complex connectivity issues. Key Responsibilities Network Design and Implementation Design and deploy Wi-Fi networks, including access points, routers, controllers, and other networking equipment. Conduct site surveys using tools such as Ekahau, AirMagnet, or similar to ensure optimal placement of wireless devices. Implement and configure Wi-Fi networks to meet organizational needs and industry standards. Maintenance and Support Monitor and maintain Wi-Fi networks to ensure reliability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve Wi-Fi network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security problems. Perform firmware and software upgrades on wireless equipment. Security and Compliance Implement security protocols to protect wireless networks from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, GDPR). Performance Optimization Optimize the performance of Wi-Fi networks through proper channel management, power settings, and interference mitigation. Analyze network traffic and usage patterns to make data-driven improvements. Documentation and Reporting Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and upgrades. Provide regular reports on network performance, incidents, and resolutions. Collaboration and Training Work closely with other IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and security teams.
