IBM Sterling OMS Providence RI TCS Job Summary: The IBM Sterling Commerce OMS Specialist is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of IBM Sterling Order Management System solutions. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring the effective execution of order management processes. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design and Development: Design, develop, and configure IBM Sterling OMS solutions to meet business requirements. Implement order management systems, including order capture, inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns processes. Customize and extend the OMS to integrate with other systems and platforms as needed. Technical Leadership:Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams. Ensure best practices in coding, design, and architecture are followed. Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers. System Integration: Integrate IBM Sterling OMS with external systems such as ERP, CRM, and e-commerce platforms. Develop and maintain APIs and middleware to facilitate seamless data flow between systems. Project Management: Work with project managers to plan and execute OMS implementation projects. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones. Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for IBM Sterling OMS solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to order management processes. Perform regular system updates and upgrades. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation for OMS solutions. Develop user manuals and training materials. Conduct training sessions for end-users and technical staff. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in IBM Sterling OMS configuration and customization. Strong knowledge of Java, XML, XSLT, and web services (SOAP/REST). Familiarity with databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL. Experience with integration tools such as IBM Integration Bus, MuleSoft, or similar. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong project management and organizational skills.
