Title: Power BI Admin Lead Remote: Candidate must be work on PST Time zone ( Local to PST any locations Fine ) 12+ Years Visa: No H1B Job details: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Power BI Platform Admin Lead to oversee and manage our Power BI environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, governance, and optimization of the Power BI platform, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and performance. This role requires a deep understanding of Power BI, data integration, security, and best practices in data visualization and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Platform Administration: Manage and maintain the Power BI service and on-premises data gateway . Monitor system health, performance, and usage metrics. Plan and implement Power BI updates and patches. Security and Governance: Implement and enforce security policies, including user roles, permissions, and data access controls. Develop and maintain data governance standards and best practices. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations. Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards. Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to data models, DAX queries, and report rendering. Conduct regular performance tuning and capacity planning. User Support and Training: Provide technical support to Power BI users and resolve platform-related issues. Develop and deliver training programs and documentation for end-users and developers. Facilitate user adoption and promote best practices in Power BI usage. Integration and Automation: Integrate Power BI with other data sources and platforms. Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using PowerShell, Power Automate, or other relevant tools. Manage and configure data refresh schedules and data gateway connections. Development and Collaboration: Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand reporting requirements. Support the development of complex Power BI reports and dashboards. Lead projects to enhance the Power BI environment and drive business intelligence initiatives. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in Power BI administration and support. Proven track record in managing and optimizing enterprise-level Power BI environments. Experience in data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Power BI Service, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Report Server. Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling. Experience with Azure services related to Power BI (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Analysis Services). Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation tools. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
