Position AWS API Lead Location NYC, NY or Lake Mary, FL Position Type Contract Job Description Job Description: Design and develop high quality and high performance MicroServices using AWS Services. Develops unit tests and provides code coverage to accurately test business logic and functionality Solves or recommends solutions for complex issues and problems Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design into the code Handle last level support for code deployments in all environments. Brainstorm new ideas and ways to improve development delivery. Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages. Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards. Follow all best practices and procedures as established by the organization. Should be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt Documents designs, issues, and solutions as needed Actively engages improving software delivery through DevOps and other Agile practices Minimum Qualifications: Strong Experience with 12+ years working on Python in AWS. Solid experience with Python frameworks Experience with several AWS Services such as AWS API Gateway, AWS Lambda, Stepfunctions, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch. Experience in modelling data/access patterns in Postgres or similar DB. Experience in writing and executing PyTest or similar unit tests. Well versed with creating and consuming RESTFUL APIs. Knowledgeable about creating cloud formation templates. Strong Analytical Skills. Able to perform SQL Queries against a relational database. Experience in using X-Ray and Cloudwatch Logs to triage issues with services. Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and be a self-starter.
