| Please share resume on [email protected] Title: Site Reliability Engineer 6 Months plus extensions Location: Remote Job Description: Top Skills: Java, DevOps Background, Kubernetes, cloud experience. The Candidate will be responsible for design, code, test, implement, maintain and support applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. Work closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive analysis and design of quality technical solutions ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies and complying with client's architectural standards. SRE is a part of future forward initiative to enable multiple key platforms with proper observability , performance and resilience . The SRE role is a specialization of programmer job. Understanding what makes applications stable and performant is the key. The job requires problem solving skills and using tools to support analysis. It requires suggesting remediation for potential problems . SRE person will be acting as an enabler to help enable automated performance and chaos gates for various platforms . The candidate should be able to develop plugins, scripts needed for such enablement. Good knowledge of Linux , Kubernetes is required for this work. Additional Skills: Expert/lead technical role. Expert knowledge of the field. Develops large and/or highly complex solutions that require analysis and research. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or technical leader/consultant. Works on complex tasks, projects or issues that involve a high degree of risk, impacts business unit performance and makes use of the individuals' high level of knowledge within one or more areas of specialty. Coaches and mentors more junior technical staff. Works without supervision on the most complex projects. Complete latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires 12 or more years of demonstrated applications development experience with many projects as the application development system designer or technical lead on "very large projects (i.e., projects with duration of more than 10,000 hours or spanning more than 6 months). JOB SUMMARY: Works closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards. Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
