Dynatrace Observability Engineer ONLY USC/ Full GC 100%/ Fully Remote Rate - $65-70 and $178K Conversion Salary (Candidates Only from Wash DC, MD, VA, WV) (Recent Health insurance client exp is MUST) Client : CareFirst Dynatrace Observability Engineer The Dynatrace Observability Engineer/Architect is talented and passionate about Observability and will be responsible for designing and implementing observability solutions that enable proactive and efficient monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting of complex systems, applications, and critical business processes. The successful applicant will have significant experience with Observability, Dynatrace SaaS, APM, DQL, logs on Grail, and dashboarding of Critical Business Processes (preferably with Dynatrace Business Events) and has previously completed a migration project from Dynatrace on-prem (Managed Solutions) to Dynatrace SaaS (Manage to SaaS migration). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Decomposing business processes into observability requirements - Develop dashboards for critical business processes leveraging Dynatrace dashboards and/or Dynatrace Business Events on SaaS - Define and implement the observability strategy and roadmap, aligned with the business objectives and the IT architecture vision. - Design and develop observability solutions using industry best practices and standards - Provide technical leadership and guidance to the performance monitoring engineers, ensuring the quality and consistency of the observability solutions. This is while executing hands-on and having responsibility for delivery. - Collaborate with the business partners and IT stakeholders, such as application owners, developers, operations, security, and governance teams, to understand their observability needs and requirements, and provide them with the appropriate solutions and tools. - Evaluate and recommend new and emerging observability technologies and tools and conduct proof of concepts and pilots to assess their feasibility and value. - Establish and enforce observability standards, policies, and best practices across the enterprise, and ensure compliance with the regulatory and security requirements. - Provide observability training, coaching, and mentoring to the IT staff, and promote the observability culture and mindset across the organization. - Analyze and report on the observability metrics and KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. This position is 100% remote, however, we are seeking candidates that currently reside in one of the following states: Wash DC, MD, VA, DE, WV, NC, PA, FL, NJ, NY, TX. This position is a Contract to Permanent opportunities with our customer, who is offering a generous salary and benefits package. Required Skills - Education Level: Bachelor's Degree (In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience) - Education - Bachelor of Science or Engineering (or 4 additional years of work experience) 10 years of experience in IT, with 5+ years of Dynatrace Monitoring experience, and at least 3 years of experience in Dynatrace observability at the Engineering/Architect level. - Deep expertise and hands-on experience in observability and monitoring technologies and tools, such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and SolarWinds - 3+ years- experience leveraging Dynatrace SaaS, DQL, and Logs on Grail - Must have experience migrating from Dynatrace on-prem (Managed Solution) to Dynatrace SaaS - Must have at least one Dynatrace related certification - Strong knowledge and experience in cloud-based architecture, especially Azure.
