Required Implementing and managing Blue Coat proxy servers in a multi-tenancy configuration (landlord/tenant) Highly desired Proficient in network protocols and strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS Required Time management Required Strong documentation skills Required Ability to maintain effective communication and working relationships with co-workers Required Role: We are looking for a Lead Systems Engineer to integrate new hardware appliances for our Web Proxy implementation, specifically Broadcom Bluecoat. The role calls for a hands-on technical consultant capable of troubleshooting complex existing Blue Coat setups and overseeing the design and implementation of new appliances in an enterprise-wide deployment. Bluecoat Engineer - Integration of new SSP appliances into existing ASG web proxy farm The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical grasp of Blue Coat ISG technology, particularly in the use of the SSP-410 appliances. They should have experience in the integration of SSP appliances into an existing environment. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance on complex activities, as well as formulating and defining specifications, developing, modifying, and maintaining complex systems and subsystems. They will utilize analytical techniques to gather information from users, define work problems, design web proxy technology solutions, and develop procedures to resolve the problems. In addition, the candidate will review task proposal requirements, gather and analyze data, prepare project synopses, compare alternatives, prepare specifications, and resolve processing problems. They will also coordinate work with multiple teams and other engineers, and orient users to the new systems. The candidate will work independently, making decisions on the techniques and approaches to be used, and will prepare recommendations for system improvement for management consideration. Furthermore, they will serve as the subject matter expert in Bluecoat, providing training to peers on the use and administration of the system, and work with peers through change control processes prior to implementation.
