| From: andrew, Dewsoftech [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Data Architect - Intermediate Location: Tallahassee, FL (Hybrid) if Remote preference given to candidates located in FL Contract Duration: 12+ Months General Description: Under the direct supervision of the Commerce Project Manager, Contractor will assist Commerce by providing the expertise necessary through IT Staff Augmentation Services for up to four (4) Data Architects in accordance with the tasks outlined below. Responsibilities: Data designing, balancing optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors enterprise wide. Focusing on enterprise-wide data modeling and design. Defining data architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes, and nomenclature of data elements, and applying accepted data content standards to technology projects. Responsible for business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, Database Systems optimization, recovery strategy and load strategy design and implementation. Working with other architects on data decisions and data strategy. Identifying data sources needed for solution. Ensuring data security is implemented for solutions. Required Skills/ Experience: Masters or bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field/equivalent work experience. A minimum of five (5) years of experience with large and complex database management systems. A minimum of five (5) years of experience with providing technical support for maintenance of new and existing servers and database infrastructure services. Intermediate level experience in cloud architecture and implementation. Leadership experience with managing and completing complex projects relevant to server/database infrastructure services. Advanced to expert level knowledge and understanding of architecture, applications, systems design, and integration. Experience with The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and/or familiarity with other Enterprise Architecture frameworks. Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts. Preference will be given to those with: Proven work experience as Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Steward, or similar role. In-depth understanding of database structure principles. Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements. Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques. Expertise in SQL and other relational database management systems (MySQL, MongoDB, SAS) Familiarity with data visualization tools (tableau, D3.js, and R).
