Job Description : We need a systems engineer with requirement management and the best have this: 1+ year of experience with perception technology (RADAR, LIDAR, Ethernet cameras Title: Embedded Engineer Company Name:cat Location:Mossville IL Rate:46hr Duration:2 year contract The engineer will work within an immediate team of 5-6 engineers and with numerous internal process partner teams (software and systems). The engineer will be responsible for creating detailed design documentation with internal development teams and suppliers. System engineering responsibilities include, but are not limited to: o Gathering requirements from internal customers, process partners, and regulatory teams o Creating and managing detailed design documentation (system, hardware, software) o Develop the system architecture o Participate in use case development o Support system level activities with our perception & automation research team o Participate or support EMC system level tests o Travel to proving ground or customer sites for test support when needed Software engineering responsibilities include, but are not limited to: o Develop software requirements based on system level requirements o Support software activities with our perception & automation research team o Participate in test case development o Occasionally perform software verification on concept flash files o Coordinate feature development across the system o Validate that project deliverables are completed correctly o Troubleshoot identified software/system defects o Investigate source code implementation (C/C++) as needed Travel to proving ground or customer sites for test support when needed The candidate must have: o Excellent written and verbal communication (ability to coordinate with global teams) o 3+ years of experience creating and managing requirements & detailed design documentation o 1+ year of experience with perception technology (RADAR, LIDAR, Ethernet cameras) o 1+ year of experience with Ethernet/image associated protocols (UDP, TCP, AVB, etc) o Ability to debug in C/C++ developer environments Top candidates will have: o Experience with machine learning algorithms, Kalman filtering, image processing o Familiarity with MPSOC FPGA platforms o Familiarity with Agile development practices and methodologies Should you be interested, please send me a copy of your resume in word format along with the following details ASAP.
