Five (5) + years of experience in proven ability with application and infrastructure monitoring platform administration. For example, expertise with platforms such as ScienceLogic, DataDog, LogicMonitor, etc. that look at the totality of an IT environment as opposed to just end-user compute. Experience in IT service delivery, SDLC, DevOps, per the JD. Five (5) + years of experience in-depth knowledge acquired through a bachelor's degree in business, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with significant years of hands-on experience in computer systems. For example, experience with management of complex IT systems through the application of advanced IT concepts like engineering and programming. Experience with engineering/programming, per the JD. Responsibilities encompass advanced tasks such as configuring sophisticated monitoring tools, monitoring the performance of critical hosts and services, and developing automation scripts for process optimization. For example, knowledge of scripting like Python, SQL, PowerShell to develop these automations and process optimizations and not just automations through a GUI (PowerAutomate). Position Description: Seeking a seasoned professional with extensive technical experience to oversee and enhance system monitoring and reporting activities for enterprise computing systems. Responsibilities encompass advanced tasks such as configuring sophisticated monitoring tools, monitoring the performance of critical hosts and services, and developing automation scripts for process optimization. As a candidate with a proven track record, you will be adept at maintaining comprehensive documentation for monitoring system software and hardware. Extensive working knowledge of Infrastructure, and Integration nomenclature. Collaborate effectively with Reliability Specialists and Reliability Engineers to continually elevate skill sets and stay at the forefront of industry best practices. Essential Job Functions: Monitor enterprise computing systems, networks, and applications in production and quality assurance environments with a wealth of technical expertise. Conduct rigorous application and infrastructure availability checks, delivering comprehensive status reports. Configure advanced monitoring tools, including the establishment of notifications for alerts, tickets, and logs. Take decisive actions to resolve complex issues, collaborating seamlessly with Level 2 or Reliability Engineers when needed. Leverage scripting and software tools adeptly automate processes, showcasing high technical proficiency. Manage Incident Reports (IR) methodically, from opening to updating and closing, adhering to established standards. Contribute actively to the investigation and resolution of problems causing incidents within the scope of responsibilities. Maintain meticulous documentation for monitoring systems, including standard operating procedures (SOP). Execute the documented handover process effectively, ensuring a smooth transition for the next monitoring shift by highlighting priority items and issues. Key Qualifications: Five (5) + years of experience in system monitoring and reporting activities, showcasing technical proficiency. Five (5) + years of experience In-depth knowledge acquired through a bachelor's degree in business , Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with significant years of hands-on experience in computer systems. Five (5) + years of experience in proven ability to decipher requirements from business users and communicate effectively through various channels, including verbal, written, and face-to-face interactions. Five (5) + years of experience in proven ability with application and Infrastructure monitoring platform administration. Solid understanding of fundamental software and hardware concepts, coupled with expertise in tools such as Word, Excel, Visio, and others for meticulous documentation.
