Position : SAP S4 Variant Configuration Consultant Location : Remote + 50% Travel to Parsippany, NJ Duration: : 6-12 months Visa : NOH1B/CPT Interview mode:: video Job Description: Model and configure Variant Configuration in S/4 HANA, focusing on medical device industry requirements. Manage and configure data elements including Configurable Characteristics, Classes, Dependencies, Super BOM & Routing, Configuration Profiles, and Pricing conditions. Implement and optimize Make-to-Order (MTO) scenarios, ensuring effective integration with Manufacturing, Sales, Costing, and Finance modules. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and process flow across SAP modules. Conduct requirement analysis, design solutions, and develop detailed functional specifications for Variant Configuration. Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for Variant Configuration and related processes. Perform system testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure successful deployment of configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Variant Configuration in a timely manner. Deliver training and support to end-users, ensuring they are proficient in using the Variant Configuration functionalities. Required Experience Minimum of 5+ years of experience in S/4 HANA with a focus on Variant Configuration. Demonstrated experience in modeling Variant Configuration, specifically within the medical device industry. Proficient in managing and configuring Configurable Characteristics, Classes, Dependencies, Super BOM & Routing, Configuration Profiles, and Pricing conditions. Strong understanding of Make-to-Order (MTO) scenarios and their integration with Manufacturing, Sales, Costing, and Finance modules. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. SAP certification in Variant Configuration or related modules is a plus. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
