The initiative emphasizes process alignment, understanding of data, and reducing reliance on tribal knowledge. Operating globally, W.L. Gore is implementing a regional deployment strategy with standardized processes across its facilities. They aim to avoid excessive customization of SAP to maintain long-term system sustainability. Extensive readiness activities and change management efforts are key components of their approach to ensure a smooth transition. Key Points: -The deployment involves multiple global facilities with a strategy to ensure decisions are applicable across sites. -There is a strong focus on adhering to standard SAP processes rather than customizing extensively. -The readiness activities have been ongoing to ensure a smooth transition. Team Size: A dedicated team of about 15 associates is focused on various fundamental ERP areas, including source to pay, forecast to plan, order to cash, plan to make, and logistics warehouse management. Internal resources are being supplemented selectively by external frms like Accenture, Delaware Consulting, and R3 Now, as well as some presence from IBM Requirements 20-30 years SAP experienced hands-on project delivery person with SAP program manager experience. SAP Advisory experience with proven experience guiding businesses in the following areas: SAP expertise, SAP execution methodology, and different project methodologies with the ability to translate that into business activities. Experience in FTP or PTM SAP Processes Soft Skills: Collaboration: Working effectively with a diverse team, including internal associates and external consultants, is essential. This requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across different departments and regions. This person will work closely at the enterprise level with Transformation Ofce but specifcally focused on the Fabrics business unit. Communication: Clear and effective communication skills are essential for articulating the vision, objectives, and progress of the transformation. This includes the ability to convey technical information in a way that is understandable to non-technical stakeholders. Strong listening skills. Advisory Expertise: Possesses a comprehensive understanding of critical decisions within the implementation strategy that can significantly impact the program's direction, and provides informed guidance accordingly. Demonstrates expertise in best practices and awareness of common pitfalls, offering strategic advice to circumvent potential issues. Change Management: The ability to manage and facilitate change is crucial, as the transformation involves significant shifts in processes and systems. This includes communication, training, and support to ensure smooth adoption. Hard Skills: Manufacturing Experience: Large scale roll goods manufacturing would be ideal but other manufacturing experience would be applicable. S/4HANA Experience Process Standardization and Adherence: Deep understanding of SAP implementation, especially with a focus on sticking to standard processes and avoiding excessive customization. Technical Knowledge in SAP: Functional and technical competence in SAP, with the ability to guide and make critical decisions about the implementation strategy, including handling complex integrations and deployments. SAP Advisory experience with proven experience guiding businesses in the following areas: SAP expertise (Forecast to Plan, Plan to Make) SAP execution methodology Different project methodologies Translate business activities Resource Management: Proficiency in managing resources effectively, including advising on appropriate resourcing and ensuring the feasibility of project timelines. Testing and Quality Assurance: Expertise in overseeing and conducting testing phases such as SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing), ensuring that best practices are followed and that potential issues are identifed and resolved promptly. Expectations: Review decision documents and RAID items to facilitate choices with the business to balance best practices and business impact. Understand Gore's Business Process Hierarchy and change requests to clarify scope and process implications. Translate needs into scope for each release of SAP. Inform resourcing needs and workload effort for the agreed scope. Understand Gore SAP data set and drive activities to support data mapping. Understand the full scope of readiness activities and drive those activities within Fabrics. Understands UAT and what will be required in Fabrics. Advise on cutover activities, hyper care structure and drive those activities within Fabrics.
