Evaluate continuous learning and knowledge update practices. Job Description: Overview: Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. AWS & Kafka Developer Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services and Kafka, with extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions. This role requires a proactive individual who can drive innovation and efficiency in our cloud infrastructure while ensuring security, scalability, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services. Develop and deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and performance. Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery. Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions into applications and workflows. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments. Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. Conduct regular performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Design, implement, and manage Kafka clusters for data streaming and real-time processing. Ensure the reliability and performance of Kafka infrastructure. Integrate Kafka with AWS services and other applications. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in AWS cloud engineering. Strong proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and more. Extensive experience with Kafka, including setup, configuration, and management of Kafka clusters. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar. Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in the cloud. Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or equivalent certification. Experience with multi-cloud environments. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools. Previous experience in the energy sector is a plus.
