Job Title: Oracle Database Consultant - Performance Tuning Location: Irvine, California-Onsite Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive performance tuning and optimization of Oracle databases. Conduct thorough analysis of database structures, queries, and overall system performance. Recommend and implement solutions to improve database performance and efficiency. Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues in production environments. Provide technical guidance and best practices to clients and internal teams. Develop and maintain documentation related to database configurations, performance tuning strategies, and optimization techniques. Stay updated with the latest Oracle technologies and trends in database performance tuning. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as an Oracle Database Consultant with a focus on performance tuning. In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, including RAC, Data Guard, and Partitioning. Strong proficiency in SQL tuning, query optimization, and database schema design. Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other performance monitoring tools. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex database performance issues efficiently. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely. Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
