Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer Location: 100% Remote Job Description: We are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with a passion for technology and solving complex problems for our rapidly growing organization! Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related fields, or equivalent work experience required Hands-on experience with foundational AWS Services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudFront, Lambda, EKS, ECS, Route53, etc.) Prior knowledge working on serverless technologies, services, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc.) Experience with CloudFormation, Terragrunt/Terraform or other IaC solution Strong DevOps background (culture, process, and tooling aspects) Ability to build code pipelines and support deployment activities Able to work independently and as a team to architect and implement new solutions and technologies Good written and verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication, speaks and writes clearly and understandably at the right level Experience writing internal tooling or services to bridge infrastructure gaps An interest in open sourcing internal projects or contributing to open source projects Managed AWS Infrastructure with TerraformResponsibilities: Architect, build and manage cloud Infrastructure components by leveraging Infrastructure as code Identify, evaluate, and learn new technologies for implementation Deploy and configure cloud services according to best practice (e.g.: EC2, VPC, RDS, IAM, Route53, CloudWatch, S3) Identify opportunities to automate and/or bring efficiency to technical processes Identify system or performance issues, and develop resolutions Participate in troubleshooting infrastructure and/or application-related issues Produce lean and well-written technical project documentation and operational runbooks Take ownership of issues and act with a high sense of urgency when required Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, cost-effectiveness and high availability in the cloud Setup and maintain all cloud-based Linux server infrastructure for the development teams Enable self-service infrastructure management via Terragrunt/Terraform and custom tooling Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and security standards Develop and implement internal systems, processes, and best practices to be used by other teams designed to increase productivity Write automated scripts for server provisioning and configuration Recommend best practices for Terragrunt/Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code uses across the organization -- Keywords: sthree information technology microsoft AWS Cloud Engineer || Contract || Remote [email protected] |
