Responsibilities: Team Support: o Collaborate to support the GovInfo Program. o Provide off-hours support for system availability and functionality. Build and SCM Expertise: o Oversee build processes with tools like Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible, and Azure DevOps. o Manage source code repositories and tools. o Perform and automate builds and deployments across environments. Source Code Management: o Resolve issues related to branching, merges, and merge conflicts. o Develop templates and hooks for best practices in SCM, build, and testing. Automated Testing: o Develop and enhance an automated test framework. o Create automated test cases and perform System Integration Testing. o Coordinate performance testing and monitor application performance. Documentation and Standards: o Document procedures for builds, SCM, dependency management, and automated testing. o Provide operational support for all GovInfo components and during system testing and deployments. Technical Input and Evaluation: o Ensure new functionality aligns with GovInfo's architecture. o Recommend and implement appropriate and secure technologies. Technologies: SCM and Build Tools: Git, GitLab EE, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, Ansible. IDEs: Eclipse. Project Management: Trello. Testing Tools: Apache Jmeter, Selenium, TestingNG. Languages: Java EE, Unix Shell Scripts. Operating Systems: Enterprise Linux. Security: OWASP standards. Experience and Skills: SCM and Build Tools Expertise: o Experience with Eclipse, Maven, Nexus, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Ansible. o 2+ years in continuous integration environments. o Experience with GIT, automated test frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, JBehave), and deployment scripts. Java EE Development: o 7+ years in architecting, building, maintaining, and enhancing Java EE applications . o Leading software engineering efforts or development teams. Development Methodologies: o Experience with test-driven development, Scrum, and Kanban. o Strong documentation skills. GovInfo Knowledge: o Understanding of GovInfo content, metadata, and architecture. o Knowledge of federal legislative, regulatory, and judicial processes. o Familiarity with ISO 14721 OAIS and ISO 16363 TDR standards. Communication: o Proficiency in English (written and oral). o Experience with DevOps and test automation across the test pyramid.
