Location: Sacramento, California Hybrid Structure: 2x/3x per week on-site Duration: 2+ years Job Description ETL and Data Engineering Architect - Oracle Cloud (Consultant) This is an exciting role for an ETL and Data Engineering Architect with Oracle Cloud experience in Sacramento, Ca. Project Duration: 2-3 Years Location: On-site in Sacramento, California (2-3 days per week) Project: Major High-Visibility Project for Fortune 500 company Employment Type: Contractor Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled ETL Architect with extensive experience in data warehouse administration and data engineering. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Oracle Cloud (OCI) and be proficient in data integration tasks. This role is hands-on, involving the development, testing, and implementation of ETL scripts and jobs using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). You will also be responsible for visualizing and designing the enterprise data management framework to support this high-visibility project. Key Responsibilities: ETL Development: Develop, test, and implement ETL scripts and jobs for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into target data warehouses using ODI. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency throughout the ETL process. Data Management Framework: Visualize and design the enterprise data management framework. Specify and implement processes for planning, acquiring, maintaining, using, archiving, retrieving, controlling, and purging data. Data Integration: Perform data integration tasks to combine data from disparate sources into a cohesive and usable format. Collaborate with data engineers and database administrators to ensure seamless data integration. Data Warehouse Administration: Administer and maintain the data warehouse environment. Optimize data warehouse performance and ensure scalability to meet project demands. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with project stakeholders, including the State of California, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Requirements: Technical Skills: Extensive experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Proficiency in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for ETL processes. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, architecture, and administration. Experience in data engineering and data integration. Project Experience: Previous experience working on high-visibility projects, preferably for government entities. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex data integration projects. Professional Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Other Requirements: Ability to be on-site in Sacramento, California 2-3 days per week. Availability for a 2-3 year contract period. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other data integration tools and technologies. Familiarity with other cloud platforms and services. Certifications in data management, cloud technologies, or related fields.
