Job Description - Title: Sr. Data Governance Analyst Location: Deerfield Beach, FL ( 3 day Hybrid) NEED LOCAL ONLY IN FL Duration: 6 months+ MOI: Skype Important This is a backfill role will focus on governance, particularly in the upcoming year's security context. Primary Responsibilities : Review documented metadata for accuracy, completeness, and consistency Support build out of PowerBI report/dashboard documentation Review and maintain Data Governance Program organizational structure, including Business Data Owner and Business Data Steward assignments Assist Business Stewards and Subject Matter Experts with documentation of policies, standards and processes Support training relating to data governance practices and the data governance tool usage throughout the organization Support the development of teams across JM&A Group to ensure data governance policies and practices are embedded throughout the company Participate in design discussions relating to data structures to ensure standards are appropriately adhered to Ensure all data assets subject to governance processes within the organization are addressed Manage and administer data governance tool for JM&A Group in partnership with other lines of business within JM Family Governance Focus: Governance experience is highlighted as a significant advantage in this role. The emphasis is on security, especially for the upcoming new year. Previous Experience: The previous person in the role was a business analyst. Their expertise was more functional than technical, with minimal SQL involvement and a focus on documentation. Proficiency in handling business requirements and collaboration with various teams was a key aspect of their role. Metadata Management: The role involves dealing with metadata, with a perspective more on the business side than the technical side. Key responsibilities include building auditing functionalities for compliance reviews and managing data and metadata throughout the entire lifecycle to ensure protection and integrity. Data Asset Identification: The role requires identifying and documenting data assets and access points.
