Must have US experience Job Description: Security Cloud Engineer Azure Locations: NJ or CA. Mostly remote. Rate : $55-60/hr c2c Overview: We are seeking a skilled Security Cloud Engineer with expertise in Azure to join our team. This role focuses on migrating on-premises infrastructure to the cloud, specifically leveraging Azure services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud security principles, hands-on experience with Azure security tools and services, and proficiency in API integration. Responsibilities: - Design and implement secure cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure, ensuring alignment with security and compliance requirements. - Lead the migration of on-premises workloads and applications to Azure, focusing on security best practices throughout the migration process. - Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to maintain a secure cloud environment. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls seamlessly into cloud-based solutions. - Conduct security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing of Azure environments. - Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting forensic investigations when necessary. - Automate security tasks using scripting languages and APIs, ensuring efficient management of security controls. - Stay current with industry trends, security standards, and best practices in cloud security. Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). - Proven experience as a Security Engineer or similar role with a focus on Azure cloud environments. - Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security, and data protection. - Hands-on experience with Azure security services such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure Key Vault, etc. - Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and experience integrating security controls via APIs. - Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies. - Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Relevant certifications such as AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are a plus.
