Their primary responsibility is to ensure that proposed projects and their impacts on the environmental and historic preservations comply with applicable laws and regulations to minimize or mitigate negative effects on the environment. Below is a general job description for an Environmental Impact Reviewer, noting that specific duties can vary depending on the employer, sector, and location: Key Responsibilities: 1. Review and Analysis: Evaluate applications for the environmental impacts and provide recommendations to the client for approval and/or denial. This involves a thorough analysis of the documentation to ascertain the accuracy of the data presented and the validity of the conclusions drawn regarding environmental impacts. 2. Stakeholder Consultation: Engage with client and sub-applicants, facilitating discussions to address concerns in order to resolve issues that could impact the approval of application. 3. Portfolio Management: Reviewer will be responsible for managing a portfolio of applications simultaneously which will be at various stages of the review and approval process. Reviewer will use client training and KPMG tracking tools to progress their assigned applications from initiation through completion. 4.
