From: Laya, Incom Technologies [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Azure Cloud Engineer (Infrastructure & Data) St Louis MO Azure Cloud Engineer (Infrastructure & Data) Job Description We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer who has extensive experience in Infrastructure administration and has knowledge in Data Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of our Azure-based cloud infrastructure and data solutions. This role requires expertise in cloud architecture, data engineering, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services. The Cloud Engineer will work closely with our development, operations, and security teams to ensure optimal database performance, reliability, and security. Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-efficiency and performance. Manage virtual networks, virtual machines, storage accounts, and other Azure services. Implement and maintain security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection. Data Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other data engineering tools. Create and manage data storage solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Cosmos DB. Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across various data sources and destinations. Develop and maintain ETL processes to support business intelligence and analytics needs. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with software developers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide appropriate cloud and data solutions. Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving cloud infrastructure and data-related issues. Document procedures, configurations, and best practices for cloud and data engineering tasks. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Azure services, features, and best practices. Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements. Participate in architectural reviews and provide recommendations for optimizing cloud and data solutions. Skills and Qualifications 5+ years cloud engineering experience required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Strong knowledge of Azure services including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, and Azure Cosmos DB. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git). Hands-on experience with cloud database platforms such as Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS, or Google Cloud SQL. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or AWS Certified Database - Specialty are a plus.
