Open for Hybrid for strong candidates) Duration: 12 Plus Months Occasional travel with expenses reimbursed. Job Skill Set: The Client has established a new Office of Strategic Procurement and is seeking Procurement professionals ranging from procurement processing and management to leadership and supervisory roles. Candidates must have experience in procurement, contracts, and purchasing but also knowledge of the guidelines set forth in the clients Code, Additionally, procurement staff will support departments in obtaining necessary price quotes in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and will play a crucial role in coordinating the formal bid process by advertising proposals and soliciting bids on various agency projects. In addition to procurement responsibilities, the selected individual will be involved in property management tasks. This includes assisting in the acquisition, accountability, assignment, maintenance, and disposal of agency property. Successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting the overall efficiency of Clients financial operations. To be successful as a public procurement professional, you should have the following skills and knowledge and be proficient in the following: Strong problem-solving skills. A commitment to ethical practice and personal integrity. An eagerness to serve, be challenged, and grow professionally. An ability to work collaboratively to find new solutions to community challenges. Experience: Knowledge of contract management Knowledge of procurement and purchasing laws Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-based environment Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software Ability to coordinate and maintain relationships with cross-functional departments to ensure efficient operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to effectively interact with administration, faculty, staff, and other outside contacts.
