Job Description: Responsible for test planning and execution of RG (Residential Gateways) certification testing for consumer services. Identify key issues, open defects, work with the vendor for a resolution, validate and resolve the defects once fix is available in a labs-based environment. Understand and able to configure voice gateways with registrar server and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Able to read and analyze debug VoIP logs and open bugs with vendors . Provision and configure VoIP lines on RGS (Residential Gateways) Thorough understanding of IP based network systems and protocols Extensive knowledge of SIP protocol and related network components (Gateways, SBC, Proxy). End to End call flow testing of VoIP services which may require coordination with other teams (Domestic and International) Developing test scripts and plans; Perl and / or Shell scripting experience is a plus . Provide Lab environment test support. Deep understanding and debugging capabilities for SIP, RTP and WireShark traces/captures. Test SIP and RTP call traces and SIP call flow. Attend project meetings to review system and test requirements. Responsible for Tier 4 problem and troubleshooting/diagnosis and resolution Provide production and escalation support to Operations and Service teams.
