This role requires on-call support outside regular hours, compensated at the regular rate or with comp time. The Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer is responsible for all phases of CICS engineering, system and software maintenance, and CICS related operation functions. In order to be considered for this role you must be comfortable working with CICS (and MQ) in an enterprise scale Sysplex and CICSPlex environment. The CICS engineer must have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, as well as in-depth knowledge in CICS performance & tuning, debugging and dump analysis. Required experience: A minimum of ten years working as a CICS Systems Programmer / Engineer Knowledge of all CICS parameters that control performance in a CICSPlex environment. Knowledge of SMP/E, software upgrade and maintenance Must have CPSM expereince In depth knowledge of CICS SMF record structure and the CICS Performance Analyzer tool to gather statistics for tuning CICS regions Experience with CICSPlex SM implementation & customization, dynamic transaction routing, etc. Ability to perform problem determination, dump analysis and performance tuning Experienced with the CICS monitoring tools Sysview Knowledge of Cobol to support application developers Experience with Mainframe WebSphere MQ Desired / preferred experience Assembler and COBOL coding and knowledge of CICS Exits Web application support in a CICS TS V5 environment Knowledge of zOS facilities such as: APF, Linklist, VSAM, LPA, Coupling Facility Experience with CICS Interdependency Analyzer tool Working knowledge of the zOS & CICS Explorer Knowledge of Natural language & Adabas Prior Application programming experience Requirements: Proven experience in Mainframe CICS engineering Strong understanding of CICS architecture and performance tuning Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and mainframe hardware US Citizenship or Green Card holder status is mandatory Keywords: message queue green card Urgent Hiring on :: Job Title: Mainframe CICS systems :: Duration: 12+ month:: Location: Remote [email protected] |
