This will be a Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM position. If hired there will be an extensive onboarding that will take up to 2-3 weeks to take place that our customer will help walk through. This candidate will oversee the entire network expansion project and will work with both employees and contractors. The top skills required: Demonstrated ability to oversee large projects Certifications: Active CCNP or CCIE This candidate will oversee entire network expansion project. He will not need to be hands on but must have strong problem solving skills and be able to offer solutions to the management team and be an extension of the Director overseeing the project. Responsibilities Performs Implementation services that may include design, architecture analysis, deployment, troubleshooting, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and network engineering. Assists leadership with strategy and will be involved in developing technical architecture services (e.g., Cisco, Palo, Fortinet - SDWAN, SSE, SASE, etc.) Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on Customer projects/workshops and be accountable for the project outcomes. Collect, produce, and update deployment and design documentation. Develop, update, and continually improve Network & infrastructure Service offerings. Act as a trusted advisor for our technical teams. Identify, develop, and document best practices/recommendations (people/process/ technology), and assist with strategy & roadmap planning. Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders through written deliverables and verbal presentations Develop reports, lessons learned, presentations, and supporting documentation. Serve as a coach/mentor and guide other members of the team. Required Skills Proficiency with the design, implementation, and configuration of Cisco networking technologies inclusive of data Center switching, access layer switching, and Access and Identity tools such as Cisco ISE. Current Enterprise Cisco Catalyst switches; Cisco ISR/Catalyst routers; Switching and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP); TCP/IP; DNS; VLANs; VPNs; QoS; VXLAN; Underlay and Overlay networks; IPSEC; RADIUS; two-factor and single sign-on authentication. Extensive experience in initiating and leading consultative network projects & initiatives Excellent consultative skills in addressing networking and security challenges. Strong project management skills (scope, schedule, & cost) Excellent written, presentation, white boarding, and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Receptive listening skills, with the ability to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent situational leadership and timely decision-making skills Ability to work effectively within all levels of an organization (internally & externally) Ability to work both individually and in a team environment. Must be results-driven with a strong sense of urgency. Attention to detail and follow-up skills are critical.
