Ok with relo candidates (said West Coast may be a good sourcing channel) Duration: 6 month initial, expecting to be 1 year + (new project) Open to Contract Only Project Description: They are working on building an internal IDE- VSCode is the platform they've selected off the market- wants to get some market feedback/if we have candidates that have experience actually working on building an IDE platform, connections Broader Team Scope: This team is providing Enterprise wide (all C1 LOB's) with efficiency to it's "developer delivery experience". They have implemented GitHub CoPilot More about VSCode: VSCode- stands for Visual Studio Code. Visual Studio Code is incredibly flexible. It can do pretty much whatever a developer wants it to do. Even though it is designed to be a code editor, you can replicate what an Integrated Development Environment does on the same. S Code runs on macOS, Linux, and Windows. See the Requirements documentation for the supported versions. You can find more platform specific details in the Setup overview. Background/Requirements: Seeking Senior Level/experienced SW Engineer (overall exp should be 10+ YOE, at least 7) Specific experience helping devlop IDE Platform Preferred VSCode- Visual Studio Code Other competitor products: Notepad++, Sublime Text, UltraEdit, Atom, Brackets, Project IDx (Google's version) Proven experience in problem solving complex platform solutions (ask for example)- problem statement, approach/solution, and outcome- their specific role AWS hands on services experience, AWS Glue ideal but typical s/3, ec2, lambdas CI/CD deployment/DevOps deployment background Other tech environment team uses: Python/GoLang, Databases: SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Postgres and Snowflake - Snowflake being the most important).
