Role: Sr. BA/OBIEE Developer Location: Albany, New York Duration: 26 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 9600 Client: NY State Respond by Date: 06/16/24 5:00 PM Description This Software Analyst position is required to support continued development and maintenance efforts for the NYWIC Data Mart, in response to agency requirements. NYWIC is a web application that is used to deliver nutritional benefits to New Yorks women, infants, and children in need; also used for vendor management, investigation case management, research and reporting to USDA. The Data Mart is a business intelligence platform used for reporting purposes. Duties Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following: Work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, communicate and validate the requirements for changes to current business reporting requirements and policies for the development of new operational reports and analytics. Conduct data analysis of business and user needs and develop business requirements documents in accordance with requirements and protocols during multiple project phases to create OBIEE reports. Create business documentation (Business Requirement documents, use cases, swim lanes, process documentation) that detail the Business Intelligence reporting requirements and deliverables for OBIEE reports, dashboards, and ad hoc tools. Work closely with Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence technical team members and Business Owners to create Business Requirement documentation and to communicate the business requirements to the technical team for development of logical and physical dimensional data model reporting requirements. Collaborate with data modelers, ETL developers, programmers, and the business owners to translate report requirements, provide clarification of business rules, prioritize development, obtain signoff, and ensure successful delivery of accurate end user reporting requirements Create and execute test scripts, scenarios, and test plans to validate initial business requirements and report output through the DEV, QA and PROD migrations testing for accuracy and sign off on deliverables. Assist in providing training & end user support for DOH/NYWIC staff utilizing the OBIEE Analytics tool. Mandatory Requirements Experience (10+ Years) Studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents. Liaises between the software users and the software developers. Conveys the demands of software users to the developers. Skills include working knowledge of software technology; computer programming experience/expertise; general business knowledge; problem solving/reduction skills; interpersonal relation skills; flexibility and adaptability. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84 Months Experience with all phases of business operations report specifications development including creating business requirements documentations (BRDs), report mock-ups, flow charts, and acceptance testing for business intelligence tools to design report, data analysis, or Dashboards for operational reporting business solutions. 60 Months Experience in quality assurance report testing, bug tracking in HP Quality Centre or similar tool, and development of user acceptance documents for reports. 60 Months Experience using SQL for business user report development, testing, and analytics. 60 Months Experience soliciting report requirements utilizing JAD sessions, client interviews, focus groups and subject matter experts. 36 Months Experience using OBIEE 11g (or higher) Business Intelligence Dashboards and reports, or Data Analytics background. 18 Months Development of end user training materials for use of OBIEE Analytics, OBIEE Dashboards, and/or Business Intelligence or application reports. 18 Months Experience working with large dataset (20,000,000 plus records) Oracle 11g (or higher) databases. Bachelors degree in business intelligence, information science, criminal justice, health science, computer science, mathematics, or public/business administration with an analytics or communications background (e.g., math, statistics, quantitative methods coursework).
