Lead Java / Java Architect 1 year Contract Chicago, IL (Onsite from day 1) Visa: H1-B only Experience: 14 Java Architect technical expert responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of complex Java-based applications and systems. The Java Architect will ensure that the architecture is robust, scalable, and aligns with the business requirements and technical standards. This role involves collaboration with stakeholders, developers, and other IT professionals to deliver high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure Java applications and frameworks. Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring best practices in coding, design, and architecture. to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design and implement integration solutions for various systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and communication. Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to established standards. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectural designs, technical specifications, and system configurations. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal performance and scalability of applications. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices; evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools. Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Implement security best practices to protect applications and data from potential threats and vulnerabilities. Required Skills and Qualifications Minimum of 14 years of experience in software development Java. Technical Skills: Proficient in Java and related technologies (Microservices, Spring, Hibernate, Java EE, etc.). Strong knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services. Experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Familiarity with front-end technologies (Angular, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling. Understanding of DevOps practices and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc.).
