Designs, develops/codes, tests, and documents critical and complex application programs for computer systems. Works with appropriate stakeholders to define system scope and objectives and establish baselines. Establishes project standards and processes. Breaks down software requirements and creates highly complex systems. Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Education Details: Information Technology or Computer Science Experience: 5 years experience with software development, basic coding and compilation, software architecture/design, user requirements definition and software specification development. In Lieu of Education In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience. Preferred Qualifications Requisition Details The Service Benefit Plan Administrative Service Corporation (SBPASC) needs a Java /J2EE and B2B developer. The selected individuals will be working on full-lifecycle, scrum-team development tasks, maintenance activities and production support related to our eService and Digital eXperience programs. Responsibilites include, but are not limited to: Working with architects and technical leads on software design, prototyping, and development Developing software per architecture design and industry best practices Unit & integration testing of developed code Participating in code reviews Documenting system changes Mentoring more junior resources and enforcing software development best practices Operational support and maintenance programming Java/J2EE This position requires a BS in computer science or equivalent degree, and 8+ years of professional software development experience using Enterprise Java technologies.
