| Hello, Job Title: Data Modernization Analyst Location: Jackson, MS (Hybrid) Locals Experience: 10+ Years Duration: Long Term Contract Required Visa: Independent Visa JOB DESCRIPTION Provide general support to the agency in its projects funded under the CDC Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG), specifically under Strategy A3: Data Modernization. Projects include: Cataloging and organization of agency data resources with the ultimate goal of creating a public facing agency-wide data catalog. Assisting with the selection and implementation of an updated process for managing external requests for data and public records Supporting the creation and implementation of project timelines Consistent and effective communication with agency staff supporting the projects and maintaining focus on project goals and meeting deadlines. Assist with the collecting, organizing, and leveraging large amounts of data across multiple subject matters to enable more accessible utilization and analysis of the data using data lakes, warehouses, lake houses, catalogs, etc. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Experience participating in all day-to-day aspects (planning, organizing, budgeting, etc.) of multi-faceted data management and/or modernization projects. Assisting with the collection, cataloging, and leveraging of large amounts of data across multiple subject matters to enable more accessible utilization and analysis of that data using data lakes, warehouses, catalogs, etc. Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers involved in the collection, management, and development of agency data resources in order to advance the agency's data modernization goals. Experience working under data and IT security national standards applicable to the management and security of protected health information. Working knowledge of data management, visualization and analysis tools used to organize, leverage, and share multiple forms of data.
