Job Description: One of the largest global third-party logistics firms, based in Cincinnati, is looking for a QA Engineer to deliver on a large modernization project. The role is responsible for working with product managers, Tech Lead and Developers and delivering robust features for the project. You will be working closely with a cross-functional team on a new initiative targeted at modernizing a business-critical application over the next 4 years Responsibilities: Writes advanced Web UI automated tests using Playwright or Selenium in an object-oriented programming language (Playwright with Typescript preferred) Understands how to use the Page Object Model (POM) to organize elements and can work within an automation framework to organize tests, execute tests, and report on results Writes advanced automated API tests that analyze full responses including the JSON body data and status codes (C# with RestSharp preferred) Creates, configures, and maintains DevOps processes to run automated regression tests regularly in pipelines via infrastructure like virtual machines and containers (Azure DevOps preferred) Writes complex SQL queries to read, write, update, and delete data for use with automated tests Help setup, run performance tests, and load tests Required Skills: 7+ years overall manual and automation testing experience Expertise is automated testing tools like Playwright, Selenium, and RestSharp Advanced knowledge of distributed versioning control with Git (clone, commit, push, pull, proper branching strategy, merging, pull requests, solving merge conflicts, etc.) Expertise of basic SQL to manipulate data Has at least a basic understanding of how performance tests can be setup and executed and can work with a Performance Engineer to verify applications can still work under expected loads Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles. Strong analytical and critical thinking skill Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
