| Title- Mainframe developer / Cobol Visa- No H1B Location- Peoria, IL (Onsite)Relocation Allowed Contract- 12+ Month Warranty and Services Team Business acumen around claim processes for repairs and servicing for Caterpillar machinery with Dealerships and CAT Corporate Need for a Cobol Developer for a long-term assignment Small team - with 3-4 other programmers and a distributed team. They also work with other teams across Caterpillar and some offshore resources End-to-end process for Caterpillar REQUIRED 5-7 year Mainframe Developer COBOL, JCL, and a little bit of IMS Associates Degree or Bachelors Candidate Requirements Years of experience required Degrees or certifications required Disqualifiers Performance indicators Education & Experience Required: Programming certificate degree - at least undergrad / community college 2 yr., preferably/desired 4 year Comp Sci degree No degree, they will need to have at least 8-10 of actual hands on experience in this role. Masters degree, they will at least 4+ years of experience Technical Skills (Required) -2+ years experience with Cat mainframe environment, preferably GIS Cluster C/A - COBOL development 3+ years -SQL / DB2 programming mainframe 3+ years -IMS or CICS development 2+ years (IMS preferred) 2+ years with debugging tools like Xpeditor, Abend-Aid 2+ experience working with end-customers on IT requirements / testing (Desired) Experience in working with FSA/SOX Controls Soft Skills (Required) Good communicator / clear English skills Disqualifiers/Red Flags: No resumes over 3 pages No choppy tenure, unless the role was a specific project and they completed that project, please state that on the resume/role.
