Role: Singlestore Database Admin with Python, MongoDB Location: Sunnyvale, CA or Austin, TX (Only Locals with local ID Proof) Duration: Contract Experience: Minimum 10+ years Keyskills: Singlestore (MemSQL), Python, MongoDB Note: Only H1 Visa who can share PP (Dont share GC, GC EAD, H4, OPT/CPT) Role Description: Responsibilities: Install, configure, and upgrade SingleStore databases. Monitor database performance and ensure high availability and reliability. Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and archiving. Implement and manage database security, including user access controls. Analyze and optimize database performance. Implement and maintain index optimization strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python. Create scripts for database monitoring, maintenance, and other administrative tasks. Manage and maintain MongoDB databases. Perform regular maintenance, backup, and restore operations for MongoDB. Monitor MongoDB performance and optimize queries and indexes. Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas. Provide support for database-related issues and troubleshoot application performance problems related to the database. Document database procedures, policies, and best practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices. Recommend and implement improvements to database architecture and processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Proven experience as a Database Administrator with SingleStore. Strong experience with MongoDB database management. Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation. In-depth knowledge of SingleStore database architecture, installation, and configuration. Strong understanding of database optimization techniques and performance tuning. Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes. Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries. Familiarity with database security best practices. Experience with MongoDB architecture, management, and query optimization. Strong Python scripting skills for automation and data processing. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Experience with cloud database solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) is preferred. Knowledge of other NoSQL databases is preferred. Certification in SingleStore, MongoDB, or related database technologies is preferred.
