Top skills: Extensive experience in network engineering supporting Cisco ASA Firewall 5500/Firepower & Cisco ISE Azure cloud environment specifically, working with Azure Network Security Groups (NSGs) Experience supporting a federal civilian agency/program About the role : In preparation for a large new program to support Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), this resource will support a critical mission for HRSA; maintaining Hosting, Networking, Security, Server, Identity and Access Management, and Tier II Operations in support of the HRSA mission in a 24x7x365 environment. Requirements: 8+ years of network engineering experience supporting Cisco network infrastructure (Cisco ASA Firewall 5500/Firepower & Cisco ISE required) Switches/routers, VPN troubleshooting, technical documentation, vulnerability remediation, performance monitoring, LAN/WAN/MAN, etc. 3+ years of hands-on experience in a hybrid Azure Cloud environment Azure NSGs (networking) Hands-on experience with Citrix NetScaler as well as IPV6, OSPF, and/or BGP networking protocols Experience supporting a federal civilian agency/program Must be able to obtain a Public Trust, Tier 2 clearance (successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process including fingerprinting) Excellent communication skills with self-starter, initiative taking mentality ability to work later hours if needed for maintenance Preferred Skills: Experience supporting HHS or NIH programs for the government Experience analyzing PCAP files with Wireshark Hands-on SolarWinds experience as well as Palo Alto firewalls Responsibilities: Network Engineering, Administration, Patch Management, Vulnerability Remediation, Security Compliance, Performance Monitoring/Tuning 24x7x365 infrastructure operations support serving in on-call rotation, Hybrid Environment (Azure and on-prem) Working within team for successful completion of all tasks within the Statement of Work for assigned area of responsibility within server, storage, backup operations Will review monitoring tools to identify trends and proactive identification of potential customer impacting events Recommending changes to processes or procedures to improve efficiency or reduce costs in future projects.
